Next in our Spotlight Series-Sr. Sales Manager Perrysburg, is Sandy Skala, CSP. Sandy is a native Ohioan and attended Ohio State University. And then earned her B.S. degree in Middle Childhood Education, from Bowling Green State University. Sandy joined Cardinal Staffing in 2012 as an Account Executive in the Northwood branch office.

Sandy remembered, “It was a very different employment landscape at that time. We had more candidates looking for jobs than we had open positions.” So, Sandy’s focus at that time was to create new client partnerships. And boy oh boy did that work out! She stated, “With a great team, a lot of hard work and dedication, our customers grew and our candidates got jobs. But then it was clear that another location was needed.”
Cardinal – Perrysburg, Ohio
The Perrysburg branch office opened in 2018. As a result, Sandy became District Manager and managed the Northwood and Perrysburg branch offices. Now, Sandy is the Sr. Sales Manager for the Perrysburg branch and continues to foster and support the “client for life” relationships that she and her A-Team has developed over the years. The Perrysburg branch office supports a variety of industries such as light manufacturing, administrative, hospitality and pet grooming! Yes, you heard me… pet grooming….
Paying it Forward
Sandy has built strong relationships with local high schools, as well as vocational schools. As a result, she speaks to students yearly on various life-skill topics. Sandy talks about interviewing skills, and career options. And how important it is to be prepared for work after graduating. Sandy stated, “It’s more important than ever to invest in our future workforce!” Sandy hosts summer seminars at the Way Public Library. And, this year the Perrysburg branch office will be hosting a JOB FAIR on August 24th at the library. This year’s job fair will feature job openings from all around Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan. Be sure to ‘save the date.’
Puddles, Ponds & Oceans
If it is water, Sandy is near it! From puddles, to ponds, pools, to rivers, lakes, or oceans! You can catch her kayaking, skiing, surfing, swimming, or just lounging by water. To Sandy, “Being by the water is medicine for my soul.” She and her husband has raised their 3 children with the same love of all things water. But, watch out, when fall rolls around and its’ college football season, Sandy wears the scarlet and grey and proudly says, Go Buckeyes – all the way!
