Welcome to our Spotlight Series. During this spotlight series I will be introducing you to our Cardinal Staffing Dream Team. Just a bit over 4 years ago Susan Smith joined our Florida team as Sales Manager for our Tallahassee branch office. Susan’s high energy, enthusiasm, dedication and zeal for excellence is just a few of her positive traits.
Dirty Words – Not!
Staffing and temp… such dirty words! For many, their experience in the world of staffing doesn’t evoke positivity or excitement. How could there be anything rousing about staffing? What is there to be gained? So many see it only as a machine of pushing people into positions; but that’s simply the tip of the iceberg.
What many may not realize about the staffing industry is the heart and the hard work that is demanded behind the scenes. Where you see ill prepared or they may see never-been-taught. Where you see poorly dressed or they may see a lack of resources.
This Year Alone….
In this year alone Susan Smith and her Tallahassee team have put hundreds of people to work, at all skill levels, as they have partnered with multiple businesses in South Georgia and the state of Florida. Susan works with her clients to learn their company culture, their skill sets and what their team’s in need of. In turn, the Cardinal recruiters, David and Olivia, then take that information to select people who are qualified, driven, carry the skills and attitude needed for the job and put them to work! Susan’s goal is always that quality work and intentionality be the foundation behind each and every interaction.
And you can be sure that intentionality is what you’ll get with Susan, every time. What started as a job became a passion for her over a decade ago. A young professional turned businesswoman, she realized how much experience and knowledge she had on either side of the isle. She saw the opportunity to build up, encourage, teach, and bestow wisdom upon people entering the workforce who needed it, and who may possibly have never had it. She knew that it could change lives and in turn change businesses.
Dream Team
Susan and her dream team are here to help both their clients and employees. By pushing both to be better for one another they are creating successful work environments and successful people. This work continues in Susan’s life, when she’s working as a Business Partnership Advisory Member and an FSU School of Business Career Panelist.
And while out of the office, Susan enjoys spending time with family, going to the gun range, completing DIY projects, seeing live music, reading and watching college football, GO DAWGS!
